We keep registration fees low to make “Prairie Roots: Creating a Sustainable Future” open to everyone. Please take a look at the information below, then go to http://PrairieRoots.eventbrite.com/ or mail in a check to KAW Council, P.O. Box 1512, Lawrence, KS 66044. (Note: Our on-line registration host charges a small fee for transitions, listed on the site.)
- In addition to registration fees, we ask you to bring one or more bags of food to contribute to the kitchen, particularly anything locally grown or produced. We will purchase staples for the event (rice, oatmeal, flour, oil, beans, some root vegetables, etc.) and ask you to bring whatever you feel would contribute to healthy meals (mainly vegetarian, but if have local meats, please feel free to bring them too).
- All adults (and kids if they want) are asked to work at least one shift preparing and serving food, or cleaning up after a meal, or doing general clean-up at the end of the event. Most shifts are between one-to-two hours.
- We have a limited number of partial scholarships and work-study positions available if needed. Please contact us at seasonsandcycles@yahoo.com for more information. We want to do all we can to make this event open and inclusive of all who would benefit from it.
Registration rates:
- Adults, for full weekend: $40 if camping or staying off-site/ $45 if staying in cabin
- Children (ages 4-15) for full weekend: $20 if camping or staying off-site/ $25 if staying in cabin (Children ages new through 3 are free)
- Family rate: Two adults, two or more children: Camping or staying off-site: $90/ Staying in cabin: $110
Day rates:
- Friday: $12 adults/$6 children
- Saturday: $25 adults/$12 children
- Sunday: $12 adults/$6 children
- Partial day for Saturday: $12 adults/$6 children

Cancellation policy: If canceled before April 4, refund minus 10% of amount paid. If canceled after April 4, refund minus 20% of amount paid (but contact us for extenuating circumstances at seasonsandcycles@yahoo.com). We have to charge cancellation fees because of out-of-pocket costs to us.
